Our Story
The original idea of fifaBoss dates back to June 2017.
As two friends pursuing their studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne,
Switzerland, we agreed to combine our programming, problem solving and digital marketing skills, and
together commit to a public software project during our free time.
We chose to develop a commercial entertainment-oriented application and bring some of our favorite
common interests into play, namely, the European football and its related console video games.
Initially called “fifatool” in early drafts and discussions, the app had been renamed to “fifaBoss”
to boldly represent competition in the football video gaming scene.
In late 2018, our small team of two had developed a landing page adapted to lead generation.
Starting January 2019, we had conducted a 2-month social media campaign allowing us
to measure significant interest in the project and successfully collect thousands of emails from
interested users.
In the spring of 2019, we received special advice and support from some of our friends who helped
us design the web application. Earlier, the web had already become the final platform of choice as
it allowed fifaBoss to be available across multiple platforms.
In the late summer of 2019, our fifaBoss web app saw the light of day. Following its launch,
fifaBoss has already become a home to thousands of users and their match scores letting them enjoy
one of their favorite activities in a fun new way.
Despite some difficulty monetizing our service, we try our best to maintain fifaBoss by releasing
minor updates and providing support to our beloved users.
